Pretty cool idea
but i would prefer the sources in C#. It would be nice if we could decide which Language-Set would be used. In the end the Project-Tree got also nearly the same structure like these HTML5/JS one.
So we started with HTML5 and JavaScript... We wanted to support phone but it's not currently possible to dev Windows phone apps in JS in the same way so we were forced to use C#. There are no plans to build a Windows 8 C~ version at the moment.
error message when trying to download from zipapp
I receive an error when attempting to download my app but it downloaded fine yesterday, I've since made changes to need to re download it onto a windows 8 computer
Issue with quotes on ZipApp
I have noticed the issue while typing quotes on the description field for the app. I guess it could be happening elsewhere as well. The problem is that the text is copied directly into the xml document instead of translate it. If translation is not possible ZipApp should warn the user not to use quotes. Otherwise the app wont compile.
SharePoint RSS Feed throws ZipApp Error
It would be great to be able to display SharePoint Lists as RSS feeds in ZipApp (loads of LOB scenarios would be enabled) but they produce an Error on download. Here is an example SharePoint RSS feed that fails.
If the share point is accessible via the web then this will work. If however sharepoint is on an intranet it won't.
Twitter shows just one post
I just added a twitter feed (user) to my app and on the Windows 8 app it only shows one tweet - on the phone app, however, it shows more. Any idea why?
RSS Feeds don't work
When creating the app inside ZipApp, you can import RSS feeds into groups, however this only appears to work at the point you download the app. Once the app is deployed the RSS feeds are actually just static content, so any new articles published to an RSS feed does not show up. E.g. I configured an RSS feed to point to a wordpress blog with one post ('Test1') then I downloaded the app and then went back to wordpress and created a new post ('Test2') however when running the app it only shows 'Test1' and not 'Test2'. Have created more posts and same issue, only shows 'Test1'. Upon searching Find in All Files in Visual Studio for RSS, only 2 instances were found - one was a case "RSS" which is I believe for formatting RSS data as an article, and the other was a mention of RSS in one of my descriptions. Thanks for all work on the app btw, appreciated! :-)
youtube win8
it would be cool if the youtube videos play in a win8 player and not youtube like in the app
How to add a webview to show my website?
Thanks for this great service
i would like to ask how can i How to add a webview to show my website?
It by default generates WP8 apps. Can it do WP7?
Looks promising however the project file it generates is WP8 whereas my unlocked developer phone is WP7. Obviously, I'd like to see how the app truly performs on a real phone. Is this something I can override at your end or is it a case of tweaking the project file at my end?
